Chicken, Haloumi & Chive Burgers

Recipe Tip

  • Makes about 10 small burgers
  • Preparation time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 6-7 minutes

Tip: Try adding grated Haloumi to your favourite burger mince for added flavor and texture.

Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken, finely minced
  • ½ 180g pack Lemnos Haloumi, grated
  • ½ cup chives, chopped (about 1 bunch)
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • olive oil for frying

To serve:

  • 1 handful salad leaves, washed
  • tomato relish
  • 10 small bread rolls

Method:

  1. In a medium bowl using a large metal spoon thoroughly mix together the chicken mince, grated Lemnos Haloumi, chives, salt and pepper. Use two spoons to shape the mince and Haloumi mix into small patties.
  2. Just cover the base of a large frying pan with olive oil place on a medium heat, add the patties. Flatten each one slightly and fry until golden on both sides and cooked through.
  3. Cut the bread rolls in half, add a little tomato relish, the cooked patties and finish with a few salad leaves. Serve immediately.
